Living Green is Second Nature
Each year, the Environmental Council of Sacramento (ECOS) coordinates Sacramento Earth Day. Over 150 organizations and businesses exhibit a vast array of practical information, goods and services that cultivate a healthier and more sustainable way of living.
ECOS also hosted a variety of live music, entertainers, healthy cuisine and fun activities for all, including a children’s area. Admission was free and more than 4,000 people attended this year.
SacEV displayed over 15 PEVs, had nearly 1,000 public contacts, and included a Ride & Drive, sponsored by chargeacrosstown.com.
One of ECOS’ primary goals is to educate community members on the need to reduce the footprint of our daily lives and preserve the planet for future generations. Sacramento Earth Day is an important tool for working toward this goal. The theme this year was Living Green is Second Nature!
